A day in wine country

The weather has been gorgeous these past few days and luckily it continued onto today.  Henry brought me up to wine country to celebrate my birthday! Happy birthday to me!

Though we spent the day in wine country, we did not visit any wineries.  Nope.

 

We started the beautiful sunny day with our first meal of the day at the Oxbow Public Market and grubbed to Pica Pica, C Casa and coffee from Ritual.  Trust me, after being in the car for about 1.5 hours, I needed to fuel up with some delicious grub.  Check out my food blog for more details.

What better way to celebrate my birthday than to a day off in Yountville relaxing in my bathing suit in perfect weather with my boo, enjoying a couple's massage and dinner at French Laundry!

This is definitely my kind of relaxation. Away from work and everything else, sitting poolside in my bathing suit soaking up the sun and reading a good book.  Of course all with the best company ever, my booski!  It was peaceful for the mind and the soul!

Gorgeous day out; sunny with a slight breeze! Fortunate that we got to lay out before and after our couple's massage, though after 3pm, it got a little breezier. No complaints though.

Another great therapy for stress. A massage.  It's been a hectic and stressful year so far and Henry knew just what to do to make that all better! Definitely relaxation to the fullest! My lady (Tim?) did a great job considering the fact that I'm a very particular person when it comes to massages.

Then off to French Laundry for dinner we go.  Here's a few pictures...
