vampires, date night and whitney houston

I passed out early last night while Henry was out at Niketown picking up a new pair of shoes that just came out; Cement 4's (did I say it right?).  I woke up quite early for a Saturday morning at around 8am, not because I wanted to but because Henry had just come back from trying to purchase a second pair of those Cement 4's.

He woke me up and I was hungry, but being the good girlfriend I am, I let him sleep, while I tried to find something to occupy myself.  Eventually, I got restless and woke him up.  After some breakfast we decided to watch Twilight: The Breaking Dawn Part 1 on Demand TV.  Since I've had Christina Perri's-Thousand years on repeat, he suggested to watch it.  I had only seen the first and the second movie, missing the third one.  I still decided to watch the 4th one even though I didn't know the full details of the previous one.

I am so glad I did not pay to watch this movie in the theaters because it's pretty garbage.  It's seriously one of the stupidest movies ever (sorry Twilight fans).  I fell asleep watching the first and second one because it was quite boring.

We had date night tonight with dinner at Acquerello.  It serves as a belated Vday dinner since we decided against actually celebrating on Vday.  Pre fixed menu at Acquerello on Vday was $210 per person. Ridiculous.  I got to dress up and wear the nice presents he had gotten me for Christmas and Vday/ Early Bday!  I feel like I haven't dressed up for a date night in awhile, so it was a good change.  My favorite dish of the night has to be the Ridged pasta with foie gras, scented with black truffles and Marsala (food review soon to come on my food blog).  It was flavorful, decadent and absolutely amazing.  Service was impeccable and the waiters all had an Italian accent, I assume.  It was cute, but hard to understand.  The restaurant was cozy, romantic, old fashioned and supposedly a 1 Michelin star restaurant.  I had a great experience.  Check out my dining experience here.

We ended the night at home listening to Whitney Houston and other pop stars from the 90's on youtube.  Still can't believe another one of my generation's pop divas is gone.  We jammed to Whitney, Mariah Carey and Micheal Jackson.  So unfortunate that two out of the three have already passed away.

Came back to these two rascals barking.  They were so hilarious.  Wanted to jump off but were too afraid too. Eventually, Rocky (left), slipped off and got down. Rocky ran straight to me and I screamed. Haha. I like my brother's dog so much more!

What a great Saturday <3
