During this short trip, I was able to experience so much of the city's culture. In a nutshell, the food was amazing (check out our food adventure), the architecture was intriguing, people were friendly (except one bad encounter with a cab driver), museums were ginormous and our hotel was mind blowing. It really is a beautiful city and I wish we could have stayed a little longer to try more of the foodie spots and visit more places. Below are a few pics from our trip. Enjoy!
Beautiful sunset from the plane! Good by San Francisco...hello Chicago
Toilet seats at the Chicago O'Hare airport. Interesting.
A built in TV in the bathroom mirror at the Elysian Hotel (voted as the country's #1 hotel)
Got to try one of Chicago's finest: Rick Bayless' Restaurant
Foie Gras Dog @ Hot Doug's
Definitely worth checking out while you're in Chicago. It's definitely a journey from the downtown area, but so worth it (especially if you're a foie gras kind of person).
The view of the Chicago skyline while on the architecture boat tour
Amazing architecture and buildings! Chicago is a city with tall buildings and beautiful architecture. If you ever pay this city a visit, it's a must to check out their buildings.
Inside the bean at Millenium Park
Willis Tower looking down from 1450ft. Tallest building in the United States. That glass ledge is scary to stand on!
My first time at Wrigley Stadium at the bleacher seats (the more popular and sold out seats). Chicago Cubs vs. Chicago Whitesox. What an experience in 98 degree weather.
Skyline from Navy Pier at night!
Beluga Whale @ The Shedd Aquarium. Hands down nicest aquarium I've been to. It's huge and way better than what I've seen in the West Coast...ie. Monterey Bay Aquarium.
