Cabo Trip 2011

Diana and Anita (whose birthdays are two days apart) decided to celebrate their birthdays in Cabo.  Well it was basically their excuse to gather everyone and get away for a little bit.  I wasn't even sure that I'd be able to go, but Henry and I got our request for time off approved on the same day!! How awesome is that.  We booked tickets to CABO!! Woohoo! I was excited because I had just bought a new bikini that I really liked!

What I was most excited about was being able to lay on a beach and just tan!  It's always relaxing when you're just laying, listening to the waves splash, the warm sun hitting your skin and just taking in that moment in time.  Food was cheap and delicious! Check out our foodie adventures in Cabo! Overall, it was a fun and well budgeted trip, but it was two days too short! I could have spent two more days there, haha! I'm glad I got to spend time with some of my favorite people!

Sac State Fair

07.30.11. Carnival food, fair games, warm weather and good company. What more can you ask for?

The girls decided to set up a trip up to Sac to 1) Visit Jenny and 2) attend the State fair.  Supposedly, it was a good weekend to visit because the weather had not been as humid/hot as the previous weeks/days.  I had so much fun with the girls and everyone else who came.

Sac is only about 20 minutes away from Davis, yet I don't know why I only went once during my undergrad at Davis.  Last time I went the State Fair in Sac was the summer of 2005.  Come to think of it, we only went to the waterpark inside of the state fair, so I guess this makes it my first time.  It is huge and there's so much to do besides eating.  Definitely family/ kids friendly.  I would come here again! Perhaps, next year!

We had to take a pic with these angry bird stuffed animals.  Jenny had introduced me to angry birds on the plane ride home from Hawaii.  I got so addicted, I made Henry download it on his iphone so that I could play with it.  When we saw these stuffed animals, we knew we had to get a pic with them.
